Aspen Ladd first began training in combat sports at the age of 14. Aspen Ladd trained in BJJ, kickboxing boxing, and wrestling prior to her first appearance as an amateur at WCFC aged 18. Ladd gained momentum from this victory and then went on to a three-fight victory streak in Ultimate Reno Combat finishing her opponents in the opening round in all the fights. Then she returned to WCFC and beat Leslie Rodriguez via unanimous decision. Aspen defeated Silvia Babaeghian, Maddy Simmons and Cynthia Calvillo prior to facing Cynthia Calvillo in WCFC 9 Cynthia had a superior record to Aspen as she beat her with a unanimous decision. Cynthia's records as a professional were marred. Ladd rebounded from the loss to beat Roma Pawelek, taking her record to eight-1. Aspen was a pro-fighter for the first time in the year 2015, when she signed as a player with Invicta FC. Invicta Aspen fought Ana Carolina Vidal in Invicta 2011 and won via the first round TKO. Invicta 16, she was able to rise into the Bantamweight division after winning the fight against Amanda Cooper by armbar in the second round. Aspen employed her skills in wrestling to take out McGill with a TKO during the third-round (elbows & punches). Aspen then fought Jessica Hoy at Invicta FC 18 in the weight class of catchweight(138.1lb) as Ladd missed weight despite this Aspen was a dominant Hoy and finished her in the second round by KO. Invicta FC21 was her last fight in the organization. The winner was Sijara Ebanks by unanimous decision. Aspen Ladd was the first UFC fighter to make her debut. She faced Linalansberg during UFC Fight Night 118. She outclassed Lina with a combination of ground and pound. She won the TKO round at the end of the second. Ladd remained in the lead and picked up another victory over Tonya Avinger at UFC 229 with her next bout. Ladd stopped Evinger's fight after the opening round. Also, she was awarded the reward for her performance on the evening. The first big fight she fought in was during her subsequent fight in UFC Fight Night dos Anjos against. Lee against Sijara Eubanks in the Invicta FC rematch. Both fighters put up an intense battle that concluded with Ladd triumphing via a unanimous decision and both fighters getting their Fight of the Night bonus. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie stopped Ladd in just 16 seconds to end her winning streak. After a short break after which she went on to beat Yana Kunizkaya during the UFC's ESPN 7 third-round fight. Her most recent bout for the UFC she was a part of Norma Dumont at UFC Fight Night 195 as a replacement fight. It was a unanimous decision against her.
